What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy (cryogenic physiotherapy) is a medical treatment that acts upon the cold-sensitive skin receptors of the human body.
Cryotherapy has long been used to treat a number of serious illnesses as well as various benign or malignant lesions. In addition, it has a beneficial stimulation effect upon the immune system resulting in both increased energy levels and an enhanced general state of health.
Cryotherapy is recommended for the following conditions:

¨         Treatment of cellulite and obesity

¨         Treatment of skin diseases, skin regeneration, skin revitalization, and

¨         skin discoloration

¨         sports medicine

¨         cosmetology

¨         treatment of psoriasis

¨         treatment of neurodermatitis

¨         treatment of burns (combustiology)

¨         Neuropathology and vertebrology

¨         General surgery (proctology and traumatology)

The primary advantage of cryotherapy is that treatment is relatively fast and comfortable. Customers spend at most 2-3 minutes in the cabine, immersed to their shoulders in cryogenic gas. While the temperature inside the cabin stabilizes at -150 Cº, time and temperature parameters are carefully chosen, taking into account individual aspects of the customer's body.
During treatment, only skin-receptors are being cooled while the actual skin surface temperature drops only slightly. Indeed, during this process the core body temperature remains unchanged. The treatment is pleasant and relaxing, particulary during hot summer weather. Those who have undergone this treatment, usually repeat the treatment with great pleasure. The reason for this is a powerful release of endorphins immediately after therapy; the same effect realized after a couple hours of intense fitness exercises.
Cryotherapy stimulates some of the most important vital functions of thehuman organism such as metabolism and immune response. And, the treatmentis extremely effective in fighting cellulite. The list of positiveeffects could be endless. Indeed, on the basis of these effects, the curative benefits toward many diseases are significant.
